Each year 10 students attend the International Trumpetmaking Workshop held in Bloomington, IN. During the course of a week, students build reproductions of a trumpet made by German trumpetmaker Hanns Hainlein in 1632. The instruments are constructed by hand using techniques similar to what was used 400 years ago.
Join us at The Hot Spot as Mia and Dan talk about how 17th century trumpets were made and present a slide show from the 2024 workshop.
