About the Film
This film is a treatise on improvisation. For me improvisation is a therapy for performance anxiety — if I have no script, choreography or score to follow, I feel more free to stay in the moment and do my best creative work. For “Improvisations,” I have set up environments for participating artists to create improvised moments in response to other artists’ improvised work.
Funding Acknowledgement: Wendy Placko is a fiscal year 2022 recipient of a Creative Support for Individuals grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board.
